You go to enter the world Maya, you go to discover the colonial past of the Salvadoran villages and go to explore Copan, " Athens of the World Maya ".
El Salvador counts numerous archeological sites Mayas. The most symbolic are the one of Joya de Ceren's village, registers on the world heritage of the humanity by Unesco. The highest pyramid of the country is the one of Tazumal with its 30 meters.


Evening arrival at the international airport in San Salvador. You will be greeted warmly by a team member.

Transfer to the hotel Marela for 2 nights. Coloris Salvadoriens will be pleased to offer a glass of friendship and present to you the programe of your tourist circuit. Then, a typical local dinner will be served.

The Hotel Marela is comfortable, modern and quiet, located in the heart of the capital. This hotel has a restaurant, a swimming pool and a small gym. Accommodation.


We start the visit of the capital by the discovery of the relief model of El Salvador located at the Museum of Military History, then we drive to the center of the city visiting the following places: the Metropolitan Cathedral, National Theater, the National Palace, the church of El Rosario, the Plaza Barrios, Plaza Libertad and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart continuing our tour towards Plaza Salvador del Mundo where the symbol monument of the city stands. Lunch will be served in the restaurant of the Anthropology Museum followed by a visit of the latter (pre-Columbian culture).

Visit the Basilica of Guadalupe Church. The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to the vehicle climbing of San Salvador volcano. Stop 2 hours at the national park "El Boquerón. El Boquerón, refers to the crater of the San Salvador volcano, at an altitude of about 1893 meters. Its scenic beauty is impressive enough, the crater is about 1.5 km in diameter and 560 meters deep. From the summit, it is possible to see the volcanoes of Izalco and Santa Ana as well as the Ilopango Lake, and the entire city of San Salvador. In the afternoon we will walk in the marketplace del Carmen, in Santa Tecla. Enjoy this lovely place to explore the craft shops, and enjoy many style bars "Latino" walking through its bustling streets.

The dinner will be served at one of the many restaurants in this pleasant place. Return to Hotel Marela.


After breakfast, drive to the picturesque village of Caluco: Visit the Church of St. Paul and St. Peter, built in 1567. Then visit the beautiful baroque church of Izalco, it dates from 1570. Next stop is the town of Nahuizalco, visiting its artisans who work mainly wicker. This is one of the most important Pipil settlements , the village has several very impressive colonial buildings.

The next step is Juayúa visiting the church of Santa Lucia, this church has a Black Christ in Italian marble, dating from 1570. Stop for a picnic in the beautiful city. In the afternoon we stop by the city and its villages Ahuachapán to see the vestiges of the colonial era. Visit its colonial church dating from 1605. By he end of the afternoon accommodation at "Las Cabanas de Tacuba" for one night. Dinner at the hotel.


After breakfast, visit the archaeological site and ceremonial center of the "Casa Blanca and Tazumal", the site is dominated by the pyramid of 15 meters and remembers clearly the influence of Teotihuacan in Mexico.

Continue with a stop at a viewpoint to admire the panoramic view of beautiful Lake Coatepeque. Afternoon, visit the ruins of San Andres and the "Pompeii of America", the archaeology site "Joya de Ceren" World Heritage" by UNESCO in 1993, it's a town buried under the ash produced by a volcanic eruption.

We resume the route to Suchitoto, where we will spend 4 nights at the Hotel "El Tejado. A cozy atmosphere awaits you at the Hotel El Tejado. It has a restaurant, a pool, a beautiful park and a lookout with a magnificent view of Lake Suchitlán.


After breakfast, visit the old town of Suchitoto, this is a picturesque village, just 47 km from the capital, San Salvador.

Suchitoto is known for its warm people. This rural corner is considered a national treasure thanks to the rich history of its tourist attractions. Discover the imposing church of Santa Lucia and enjoy the wide variety of dishes in many restaurants and the beautiful lake view Suchitlán. Lunch at a lakeside restaurant.

In the afternoon we will travel by boat to get to the Isla de los pájaros (Birds Island). Return to the hotel El Tejado. Dinner and overnight.


After breakfast, we'll visit the "Cihuatán" site. It is the largest archaeological site in the country.

It has a pyramid, fortified places and several small structures, as well as two areas with circular shapes used for "El Juego de Pelota" (Ball game). Cihuatán persists as a silent witness to the wonderful imagination of Maya civilization. It was abandoned around 1300 aC.

Return to the hotel for lunch. The afternoon will devoted to rest and relax at the Hotel and to enjot its beautiful pool.
Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.


After breakfast, drive to the city of Metapan, which features elegant cobbled streets, lined with beautiful houses and colonial church known as "La parroquia" and dating from the early eighteenth century. After taking a traditional lunch, we cross the border into Guatemala to visit the Basilica del Santo Cristo de Esquipulas, the shrine has a statue of the Black Christ that dates back to 1594, around which houses numerous pilgrimages. We continue our journey to reach in the afternoon to our final destination, Copan, Honduras.

Accommodation and dinner for one night at Hotel "Hacienda San Lucas." Visit the archaeological site of "Los Sapos" (the Frogs), surrounded by pine trees and small waterfalls refreshing. The hotel is located on one of the hills of tranquil Copán Valley, just over the complex Mayan ruins of Copan. The restaurant itself is a culinary destination. The candlelight dinner is an experience to enjoy.


After breakfast visit the archaeological site, sometimes called "Athens of the Maya World" for its many monuments and stelae carved, decorated with sumptuous hieroglyphics, as well as several museums.
This city, which peaked in the seventh century A.Jc. was abandoned around the tenth century. It was inscribed on the list of World Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1980. The archaeological site of Copán is located in the jungle, in the small valley and next to the Motagua River or Copán River, at an altitude of 600 meters and just 12 km from the Guatemalan border.

After lunch, return to San Salvador. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Marela.


Departure from the Hotel after breakfast. From San Salvador, by the Panamerican Highway to the east of the country to discover the volcanoes Chicgontepeque, Usulutan, San Miguel and Conchagua and enjoy the panorama of the valleys San Vincente and Rio Lempa - Our first stop will be to visit the archaeological site of Quelepa. The site was founded around 400 BC and abandoned around the first millennium.

- The village of Pipil Panchimalco. It has a beautiful church, iglesia Santa Cruz de Roma, colonial style and dates from 1730.
